A Tale of A Tub, situated in the renowned Justus van Effen Complex in Rotterdam, has been a bastion of contemporary art exploration since 2014. Through its “Bathhouse of Care” program, it has embraced a social role in the community. Now, with the current director departing, they are on the lookout for a new leader to guide them into the next phase.
Artistic Director Position:
- 24 hours per week
Responsibilities: The Artistic Director is a pivotal role, responsible for vision, policy, and strategy in collaboration with the business director. The mission is to intertwine art programming with the local community. Managing program content, business operations, and internal and external communication are key tasks, with accountability to the Supervisory Board.
Profile of the New Director:
- International art and culture network
- Curatorial or artistic project management experience
- Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach
- Fundraising expertise and donor engagement
- Public programming and diverse audience engagement
- Deep connections to Rotterdam, residing in the city
- Vision for cultural education in contemporary art programming
- Excellent communication skills
Terms of Employment: Remuneration follows the guideline for presentation institutions for visual arts.
