2024 ICOM Special Projects Grants
The “2024 ICOM Special Projects Grants” invite contributions from ICOM National Committees (NCs), International Committees (ICs), Regional Alliances (RAs), and Affiliated Organizations (AOs). This opportunity provides a platform to present innovative and impactful projects that align with ICOM’s vision.
- Funding: ICOM is prepared to finance up to 50% of the project’s total budget, with a maximum grant of 12,000 euros. However, projects must secure additional confirmed funding sources.
- Completion Deadline: All projects must be finalized before December 31, 2024.
These projects can span various domains, including publications, training, research, and other creative pursuits. The primary goal is to nurture a dynamic and inclusive museum community dedicated to advancing knowledge.
Solidarity in Times of Crisis 2024
Recognizing the mounting global challenges, ICOM introduces the “Solidarity in Times of Crisis 2024” Call for Projects. This initiative focuses on supporting ICOM members dealing with conflicts, natural disasters, and crises, both at the local and global levels.
- Funding: ICOM is committed to providing up to 75% of the total project cost, with a maximum amount of 20,000 euros. Like the Special Projects Grants, these projects must secure additional confirmed funding sources.
- Completion Deadline: Projects addressing immediate emergency situations should be finalized by December 31, 2024.
Participation in these projects is encouraged for museums and cultural organizations. Projects aim to assess, protect, and ensure the safety of collections. Training activities designed to enhance museum professionals’ skills are also welcome. Moreover, the initiative seeks publications and research projects focused on addressing crises and advancing knowledge in various fields. The goal is to support innovative projects that strengthen the global museum community during times of crisis.
