Organization Overview
Pearle*, established in 1991, represents the European live performance sector. It works as an employer and sector federation, advocating for over 10,000 member organizations, including theaters, orchestras, and festivals, to European and international institutions. Pearle* actively engages in policy and regulatory matters impacting the live performance industry.
Position Description
Pearle* seeks a knowledgeable and organized individual, familiar with European institutions, to join its Brussels team. An interest in live performance organization management is beneficial.
Role Responsibilities
- EU Affairs Monitoring: Keeping track of current and upcoming EU regulatory developments.
- Liaison Work: Interacting with European institutions, national authorities, and international organizations.
- Representation: Attending expert groups, meetings, and conferences on behalf of Pearle*.
- Coordination: Participating in stakeholder groups and consultations.
- Member Engagement: Consulting with and assisting Pearle* members on EU law matters.
- Analysis and Reporting: Drafting impact analyses, briefing notes, and presenting at member conferences.
- Content Creation: Writing position papers, press releases, newsletters, and website content.
- Advocacy Strategy Development: Collaborating with the Pearle* team and stakeholders on policy dossiers.
- Project Contribution: Involvement in the EFA project and other European projects.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Master’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience: Knowledge of EU institutions and legislative processes, with relevant work experience in an international setting.
- Skills: Analyzing legal texts, managing various policy areas, and working under deadlines.
- Qualities: Service-oriented, enthusiastic, detail-focused, and reliable.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent English skills; other European languages are a plus.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
Reporting and Workplace
- Supervision: Direct reporting to the Director of the Association.
- Location: Brussels, Belgium, with telework options.
- Work Hours: To be discussed with the Director.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: According to PC 304, Cat A, including additional benefits.
