Overview
The Assistant Curator (Civic) position offers a unique chance for a creative and organized person with experience in collaborating with artists and community groups. The role involves supporting the development and delivery of Civic Programmes at Studio Voltaire, which aims to foster community and artist collaborations, creating impactful cultural projects in South London.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and delivering Studio Voltaire’s Civic Programmes.
- Engage with local communities, artists, young people, and partners.
- Coordinate a variety of projects, workshops, and public commissions.
- Explore innovative ways for artists and communities to collaborate.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in co-created commissions or civic programming.
- A dynamic, supportive, and critical approach to work.
- Strong interest in contemporary art and heritage sectors.
- Representation of Global Majority heritage and LGBTQIA+ communities is a plus.
