About the Residency Action
This action enables entities in Creative Europe countries to host up to five international creatives for 22 to 180 days. Applicants must be at least 18 and legal residents of Creative Europe countries. The initiative covers costs associated with hosting these professionals.
Supported Projects
Residency projects should aim to explore, create, learn, connect, or transform. Applicants can choose from short-term (22-60 days), medium-term (61-120 days), or long-term (121-180 days) projects. Proposals should detail the project’s duration, goals, and expected impact, providing a conducive environment and professional mentorship.
Grant Details
The grant comprises a hosting allowance for the host and daily, travel allowances, and top-ups for participants, based on individual needs. It covers expenses from accommodation to mentor fees and is tailored to each project.
Selection Criteria
Evaluation focuses on the host’s facilities, the selection process for participants, mentorship quality, project relevance, long-term impact, and environmental sustainability.
Application Timeline
The call spans from 15 March 2024 to 15 May 2024, with the application process divided into two phases: selecting hosts and then participants. Projects can start after 15 August 2024 and must conclude by 31 May 2025.
Application Process
Applications are in English and managed through the Goethe-Institut’s portal. The process involves account creation, registration, and form submission. Multiple applications are allowed for different projects.
Reporting Requirements
Hosts must submit a report within 30 days post-residency, including outcomes and proof of implementation.
