Victoria Miro Gallery, founded in 1985 in Mayfair, has showcased renowned and emerging artists from the USA, Europe, and Asia. Relocating in 2000 to Hoxton and Islington, the gallery features a unique landscaped water garden. Expansion included additional spaces on Wharf Road in 2006 and in Venice, Italy, in 2017.
Job Description
The Exhibitions Associate supports gallery artists in external and Victoria Miro exhibitions. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting Directors of Exhibitions with facilitating shows.
- Preparing materials for museum exhibitions.
- Liaising with artists, studios, and curators.
- Leading specific exhibitions and projects.
- Handling image requests and developing exhibition proposals.
- Proof-reading publications and press releases.
- Attending gallery events and meetings, sometimes requiring travel.
Details
- Three years of experience in a similar role required.
- Maternity Cover, 12-month contract.
- Minimum of three days per week in the London gallery office, the remainder working from home.
- Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm (1-hour lunch).
