About the Rijksakademie
The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten is a renowned residency program for contemporary visual artists. Around 50 artists from around the world work for two years on research, experimentation, and producing new work. The Amsterdam building houses 50 studios, technical workshops, a library, and a Cantina. A team of 32 specialists supports the artists and ensures operational management.
Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial support: manage agendas, emails, mail, correspondence, and filing.
- Receive external guests.
- Plan and organize domestic and international travel.
- Prepare receptions and team meetings.
- Assist in writing policy documents and evaluations.
- Draft letters.
- Manage the general inbox.
- Handle the relationship management system.
- Plan and prepare Supervisory Board meetings and take minutes.
- Plan management and director meetings; set agendas, take minutes, and monitor action lists.
- Support the director, enabling focus on primary tasks.
Profile
- HBO working and thinking level.
- Experience in a similar position or with similar tasks.
- Good command of Dutch and English, both oral and written.
- Familiarity with systems like PerfectView (or other CRM systems) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint).
