The British Museum is seeking a Programme Manager to oversee and manage its Collection programme. This key role involves working closely with the Collection Directorate to coordinate and deliver strategies related to the curation, research, and care of the Museum’s vast and historic collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and monitor new and existing programmes to meet strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with leaders to ensure resources and budgets are aligned with effective programme delivery.
- Manage project dependencies across the Museum, such as the Masterplan.
- Implement risk and quality management processes.
- Ensure timely reviews of strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Collection with preparing reports and papers.
- Maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree-level education or equivalent, ideally with a project management qualification.
- Experience in managing complex projects, including risk management.
- Strong IT skills and experience in writing strategy documents and reports.
- Previous budget management experience.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Experience in a museum or cultural sector is desirable.
Details:
- Salary: £56,195 per annum
- Location: Bloomsbury, London
- Contract: Full-time, 41 hours per week, permanent
