Cove Park invites applications for its 2025–2026 Residencies (Scotland)

Cove Park, an international residency centre located on Scotland’s west coast, is offering funded residencies for the period of 2025–2026. These residencies are designed to support national and international artists, cultural practitioners, and researchers working across all art forms and creative disciplines.

About Cove Park
Founded in 1999, Cove Park is committed to providing time, space, and support for artists and researchers to develop their practices. The centre is known for fostering collaboration, experimentation, and cross-disciplinary exchange within a peaceful and inspiring environment overlooking Loch Long. Cove Park offers purpose-built studios, high-quality accommodation, and a supportive community for its residents.

Residency Overview
The awarded residencies in 2025–2026 will welcome individuals and collaborative groups working in visual arts, literature, performing arts, craft, design, film, and more. Residents will have the opportunity to focus on the research and development of new projects or to deepen existing work. Each residency is designed to offer uninterrupted time in an environment that encourages creativity and dialogue between disciplines.

Residency Features

  • Residencies range from two to six weeks in duration, between May 2025 and March 2026.

  • Fully funded residencies, including travel allowances and per diems.

  • Self-catering accommodation and private studios provided on site.

  • Opportunities for peer-to-peer exchange with fellow residents.

  • Access to Cove Park’s extensive natural surroundings and creative facilities.

Eligibility

  • Open to artists, cultural practitioners, and researchers at any stage in their career.

  • Applicants may apply as individuals or as collaborative groups.

  • Applications are accepted from the UK and internationally.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated artistic or research practice and originality of approach.

  • Clarity of proposal and how the residency will benefit the applicant’s work.

  • Openness to exchange and engagement with other residents and the wider Cove Park community.

How to Apply
Applicants are required to submit a completed application form, a project proposal, a CV, and examples of recent work. The deadline for applications is Monday, 6 May 2024.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by Cove Park’s curatorial team and external advisers. Decisions will be announced by the end of June 2024.
