Open Call – Singapore Art Week 2026

Singapore Art Week (SAW) is an annual visual arts platform celebrating homegrown artists and art projects across a wide range of venues—from cultural institutions and galleries to public spaces and private homes. The 14th edition will take place from 22 to 31 January 2026.

The SAW 2026 Open Call invites interdisciplinary and participatory projects that foreground collaboration—between artists, across disciplines, with the public, and with the environment.

About the Call

  • Focus on collaborative and/or participatory artistic practices
  • Projects should align with one or more of the following programming priorities:
    • Collaborations or exchanges between Singaporean and Southeast Asian artists, curators, or producers
    • Public art projects sited within key SAW precincts offering unique audience experiences
    • Projects highlighting emerging artists, young curators, or reflecting artistic legacies
  • Projects may take place at traditional arts venues or unconventional locations (e.g. bookstores, transport nodes, homes)

Eligibility

  • Open to Singapore-based artists, curators, producers, collectives, institutions, organisations, and corporations
  • Collaborations with foreign artists are eligible if:
    • The lead applicant is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • At least 50% of the artistic team comprises Singaporeans or PRs

Funding & Requirements

  • Funding of up to S$50,000 per project, subject to panel evaluation
  • Projects must be presented from January 22 to 31, 2026 (duration of SAW 2026)
  • Projects may start before and/or end after the SAW dates
  • Applicants must submit:
    • Proposed venue
    • Complete list of artists/artworks (no internal open calls allowed)
    • Preparatory visuals if final artwork images are not yet available
