About the Roles

The Photographers’ Gallery is hiring three new team members to join its Exhibitions department during an exciting phase of curatorial transformation. These roles are integral to delivering a programme that explores the power, complexity, and future of photography today.

  • Curator: This role involves researching, curating and delivering exhibitions that align with the Gallery’s new strategic vision, collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The Curator will manage exhibitions from concept to completion, contribute to catalogues, oversee budgets, and engage with audiences and partners.

  • Curator (Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize): This position includes the responsibilities above, with the added focus on managing the prestigious annual Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize – from artist selection and exhibition to international touring and publication – and sustaining the relationship with the Foundation.

  • Assistant Curator: Supporting the wider exhibitions team, this role combines curatorial input with essential project administration, helping to coordinate exhibitions, manage logistics, and contribute research and writing across the programme.

All roles require a passion for photography, curatorial experience, and a commitment to collaborative, inclusive, and audience-centred exhibition-making.
