The Association for Visual Arts (AVA) promotes contemporary visual art production through regular exhibitions, showcasing all media, by established and emerging artists. It aims to promote the discursive and experimental nature of contemporary art, to make important contributions to the ‘open texture’ of South Africa’s art community.
The Association for Visual Arts (AVA) invites applications for a paid, part-time Gallery Assistant Internship. Interns will provide essential support to the gallery’s operations, focusing on administrative and reception duties while gaining valuable experience in the art world.
Duration:
- 2 months
- Hours to be agreed (+- 20 hrs per week)
- Applicant must be available from the Monday 4 August 2025
Paid position:
R3,500 per month
