The British Museum is recruiting a new Head of Young People’s Programmes to lead and expand its engagement strategy for youth audiences. The role involves conceiving and delivering innovative, inclusive and relevant programming that is co-designed with young people and closely integrated into the Museum’s broader educational mission.

Main Responsibilities

Lead the strategic development and delivery of youth-focused programming

Co-design resources and activities with the Young People’s Collective

Build partnerships with local and national organisations

Maintain and activate the Museum’s alumni youth network

Oversee recruitment using mentored, peer-led models

Monitor and evaluate programming impact and reach
Candidate Profile

Degree in a relevant subject

Experience managing programmes in cultural or educational settings

Strong project management and communication skills
