Serpentine seeks an imaginative and highly organised producer to lead the 2026/27 Arts Technologies commission. This flagship project explores emerging technologies and creative R&D in collaboration with artists, technologists, and curators. The role covers both digital and physical production, including events, exhibitions, and touring activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production of the Arts Technologies commission, including R&D, events, exhibitions, and tours.
- Coordinate complex production timelines and support prototyping workflows.
- Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth communication across distributed teams.
- Oversee technical procurement, digital production, live events, and cross-departmental coordination.
- Ensure high-quality delivery for both virtual and physical project components.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
- Demonstrable experience producing ambitious art–technology projects (digital and physical).
- Confidence working with creative technologists, developers, designers, and artists.
- Strong project management skills; experience with Asana, Trello, Slack, or Notion.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of contracting, copyright, IP, and audience/visitor engagement is advantageous.
