The Gropius Bau is seeking a Curatorial Assistant to support the preparation and realization of the major exhibition KEITH HARING LIVES (AT), scheduled for autumn 2027. Key Responsibilities
- Support curatorial development and conceptual preparation of the exhibition
- Conduct research and gather materials on artists, artworks, and related themes
- Assist in planning and implementing exhibition components
- Coordinate communication with guest curators, museums, galleries, and collections internationally
- Support scheduling, timelines, and project management tasks
- Assist in developing live programme and institutional collaborations
- Contribute to editorial work for exhibition texts and publications
Candidate Profile
- Degree in art history, cultural studies, exhibition design, scenography, or related field
- Experience (internship or traineeship) in international museums or exhibition institutions preferred
- Knowledge of curatorial processes and exhibition production workflows
- Strong interest in Keith Haring and contemporary artistic practices
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused working style
- Sensitivity to queer politics and diversity
- Fluent German and English (CEFR C1 required)
- Strong command of MS Office / MS Teams
