Ama Amoedo Foundation Grants 2026 | Open Call

For the fourth consecutive year, the Ama Amoedo Foundation will award 10 grants aimed at various agents within the Latin American art field. The grants are intended to provide resources and opportunities for strengthening the art ecosystem and its institutions. They are offered in four categories: Artists, Art and Social Commitment, Organizations, and Publications. The announcement will be made on November 20, and the deadline for project completion and execution will begin as of January 2027.
Artists
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Artists Grants are aimed at artists and/or artistic collectives whose practices are focused on the visual arts. Specific research or artistic creation proposals will be accepted, such as: production of works for exhibitions not associated with commercial spaces, development of a project, archiving and preservation of one’s own work, among other examples. A total of 4 grants of US$10,000 each will be awarded, with the aim of supporting artists at a key moment in their careers.
Art and Social Commitment
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Art and Social Commitment Grants are aimed at supporting specific initiatives that, through the arts, contribute to generating a positive impact on society. This category is open to artists, collectives, individuals, foundations, and nonprofit organizations whose projects promote education, social inclusion, and community building through artistic practices and collaborative approaches. Two grants of US$10,000 each will be awarded, with the aim of supporting social and collaborative practices.
Organizations
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Organizations Grants are aimed at supporting specific projects of nonprofit institutions or organizations oriented toward promoting, preserving, and disseminating the work of Latin American artists. Initiatives in a wide variety of formats will be accepted, provided that, through precise goals, they directly contribute to the art ecosystem. Two grants of US$10,000 each will be awarded, with the aim of supporting like-minded institutions in their respective missions.
Publications
The Ama Amoedo Foundation Publications Grants are aimed at contributing to art and/or Latin American artist publications in physical or digital format. Their objective is to foster artistic professionalization by supporting publications that have significant relevance. Two grants of US$10,000 each will be awarded to specific editorial projects, with a maximum completion period of 2 years from the receipt of the grant.
