Location: Rib Art Space Foundation, situated in a former butcher’s shop in Rotterdam, Charlois, is a hub for contemporary art. The foundation fosters a rich and interdisciplinary artistic program through exhibitions, collaborations, residencies, long-term projects, and interventions.
Role Overview: Rib seeks a seasoned and energetic Production Manager. The ideal candidate will start in mid-August, with flexibility for further discussion. The role requires about 10 hours weekly on a freelance basis. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of exhibitions and manage a team for setting up exhibitions.
- Support artists with their work, transportation, and accommodation.
- Arrange artwork loans from galleries or collectors.
- Ensure the exhibition’s setup and visitor reception run smoothly.
- Manage the production budget and maintain accountability.
- Oversee maintenance of the building, storage, and supply management.
- Handle contracts, insurance, invoices, and financial tasks with support from financial staff.
- Communicate effectively with all team members and external partners.
Candidate Profile:
- Experienced in managing exhibition productions independently.
- Skilled in technical aspects and team management.
- Connected with professionals in exhibition construction.
- Passionate about visual arts and culturally engaged.
- Decisive, resilient, and proactive.
- Flexible, with willingness to work irregular hours.

- Financially savvy.
- Resides in or near Rotterdam.
- Fluent in English, Dutch proficiency is a plus.
- Holds a valid driving license (type B).
