Overview
A temporary position is available for a Museum Educator from October 2, 2024, to May 31, 2025. This role focuses on making cultural experiences accessible to everyone.
Job Responsibilities
The Museum Educator will plan and conduct educational activities at the Jönköpings County Museum. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting tours for various groups, especially children and young people.
- Preparing materials for digital lesson planning.
- Collaborating with the public activities team and working independently.
Qualifications
- Teaching degree and documented work experience as a teacher/educator.
- Preferred experience in art or cultural history, especially in the museum sector.
- Knowledge of school curricula and ability to develop educational programs.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and good general IT knowledge.
- Excellent Swedish and English language skills.
- B driver’s license advantageous.
- Extract from the criminal record for work in schools or preschools required.
Working Hours
- Weekdays from 8 am – 5 pm.
- Evening and weekend work may occur.
